Weddings and Special Events
The beautiful main sanctuary of Trinity, as well as our Christ Church Chapel are both available to make your wedding or event that much more special. We have space to host receptions and lectures, too!
Weddings
Located in the heart of downtown Buffalo, Trinity Church is recognized for the beauty of its buildings as well as its welcome and diverse nature. Trinity does not require that those who wish to have their ceremony here be members of our congregation, or our faith tradition. We welcome all.
Trinity offers two locations for your wedding ceremony: the main sanctuary with seating for up to 450 guests and Christ Chapel for a more intimate gathering of 80 guests.
We offer a variety of wedding packages that can include your choice of music, clergy, wedding planning, pre-marital preparation and even your photographs, flowers, and catering. Once you have made a deposit to secure your wedding date and time we also have a package that gives you the choice of a traditional or contemporary service, some suggested readings and choices for the choreography of the processional. Let us help make your day as memorable and meaningful as you dreamed it would be.
Contact Cynthia Lehman, our Weddings Minister, at the church office (716-852-8314, x29) about available dates, arranging a personal tour of our facility and for a complete wedding package.

Baptism
You do not have to be baptized to be part of the community of Trinity. We do not believe that baptism has anything to do with whether or not God loves us, nor do we think it determines our final destination in an afterlife. Baptism is the rite of initiation in the Christian religion. It is the one ritual act that bonds all Christians everywhere regardless of all the other differences between us. Baptism is a covenant we enter into with God, a particular kind of relationship that will change us over time. Baptism is a spiritual practice that includes not only personal piety like prayer and mediation, but corporate acts of outreach and advocacy like voting, engaging in the reformation of society on behalf of those at the margins and extending the love of God through our very own fingertips. Baptism is not meant to be a cultural nicety that we do for babies when they are born but the initiation into a communal relationship with God and others that may well get us into trouble if we take it seriously. Therefore, baptism should not be entered into lightly or to mollify your mother-in-law.
If you are interested in Baptism for you or your child(ren) please contact one of our clergy for a conversation and discovery process. We are not stingy at all about baptism but we do want you to take it as seriously as we do.
Confirmation
Biannually we are able to have a Sunday morning service which includes Confirmation of all those prepared to make that next step in their spiritual journey. In preparation for that step and in the months preceding, we offer separate classes for teens and adults. Please inquire if you are Baptized and wish to be confirmed in the Episcopal Church. Please contact our office if this is a service in which you would like to participate.
Funerals
When a loved one dies it is a difficult time of change and loss. Trinity provides pastoral care to grieving families, and our clergy work with your family and area funeral directors to create a loving memorial service for your loved one here in our sanctuary, in area funeral homes, and at the graveside or memorial garden. Please contact our office if this is a service that your family requires.
