Onward Trinity - A Transition Update, May 16th
During the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday, we will commission a Nominating Committee, which will lead the search of the next permanent rector for Trinity Church. They will be charged to seek a rector who will continue Trinity’s tradition as an open, inclusive, and welcoming worshipping community.

Bakers Unite!
Pie makers, cookie enthusiasts, or pastry connoisseurs - we are looking for donations for the Trinity Bake Good Sale that will accompany our Chiavetta’s BB Dinner sale that will be held on Thursday, June 13th. If you can provide us with a delicious dessert either email or sign up in the red carpet area.

Pride Parade 2013 - June 2nd
Time: Groups need to be ready to line up by noon (so you can come right after church!), step off is at 1:00 (rain or shine)
Location: Lineup is on Elmwood Avenue between Lafayette Avenue and Auburn.
As a gay-friendly, open, and welcoming house of worship, Trinity has participated in past Pride Parades and looks forward to the festivities this year. Trinity’s presence sends a message to people who may have felt persecuted by their religions that all are welcome here.
Anyone wishing to join Trinity’s in the parade should meet in front of Lafayette Presbyterian Church. The Parade begins at Elmwood and Auburn and ends at the corner of Elmwood and Chippewa. See You There!

Allentown Art Festival - June 8th & 9th
Volunteers are needed during the Art Festival to welcome visitors and monitor the space. Thousands walk Delaware Avenue and many will come through our doors for some respite from the crowds while taking in the art and beauty of the Trinity’s sanctuary. Please consider donating some time over this two-day event.

Chiavetta’s Chicken BBQ - June 13th
Thursday from 12:30 - 5:30 pm | $10 per dinner.
Please place your order in advance - its helps us determine how many dinners to order. Pre-payment is not necessary but would be appreciated. Order forms are available in the red carpet area or you can place an order by phone or email: call Colleen at 852-8314 x18 or email . Orders can be picked up in the front of the Church on Delaware Ave on June 13th or you can eat in Trinity’s courtyard. Free delivery on orders of 15 or more. Chiavetta’s Chicken BBQ Dinner will include Trinity’s famous “Nina’s Black Bean Salad,” coleslaw and cornbread.

On Thursday June 13th Trinity is hosting a Chiavetta’s Chicken Dinner BBQ. We are inviting the entire Trinity Community to pick up a dinner and meet in the courtyard to share a meal before the 7 pm worship. Order forms are available in the red carpet area - pre-payment is not necessary but would be appreciated. Just $10 per dinner. Just fill out the form and drop it into the order box.
Donate a Dinner
As we did last year, Trinity welcomes donations for Chiavetta’s dinners that will help underwrite the free dinners we offer to the Stutzman House residents that attend . Just fill out a form and write DONATION across the top with your donation. Dinners are $10 but any amount will be most appreciated.

Cam’s Book on Sale
Cam’s book, The Next Voice You Hear....Sermons, Stories and a Rant or Two, will be available for sale in the Red Carpet area after the 10:30 am service on Sundays. Price is $15.99 with proceeds going to Trinity.

Drum Circle - every Wed. in May @ 7 pm
The Beat Goes On - Trinity is offering the opportunity to participate in a DRUM CIRCLE. This ancient practice, used all over the globe, is a way to connect, learn, heal, and celebrate your inner rhythm. Whether you are 10 years old or 100 years old, the experience of drumming can be liberating.
This will be a focused drumming experience, led by Scotty Burt. It will run on the 4 Wednesdays of May - May 1, 8, 15 & 22 and will begin at 7 pm in the Chapel. Drums and other rhythm instruments will be provided. Participation does not require prior experience or any particular talent. What is needed is an openness to explore your own inner rhythm. Suggested donation for each class is $5. Registration begins this week, contact Holly @ or 852-8314x19 to sign up.
